Homemade carp bait, that is based on meat or organs, is always a great choice for fishing carp!
- Chicken Liver
- Anise Extracts
- 1 pound of plain instants grits oat
First off, make a paste by blending the chicken liver together with your anise extracts.
Then pour the grits into a bucket and add the paste.
Mix until you get a thick dough-like mixture. (PRO TIP! If your mixture doesn’t feel thick enough, just add more grits.)
Make boilie-like balls using your dough.
Bread is considered a very effective homemade carp bait! It’s extremely useful since you can even use the crumbs to pre-bait in order to attract carps and then use the actual bait to catch them.
In this case there are two options: a) you can buy a bread and coat it with attractants, or b) cook your own bread. If you have enough time and aren’t bored we suggest that you choose option b. Let’s be honest… you won’t be making bread just for baiting! You might as well bake another loaf solely for you to enjoy!
Mixing corn and bread as a bait will definitely make an exciting bait!
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 can of cream corn
- 1 box of sweet cornbread mix
Cut your bread slices into very small pieces.
Mix them well with the other two ingredients, until it turns into a paste.
Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes, so that the bread will absorb any fluids.
This small sized and super sweet food, will make the carps go crazy!
- Honey or Garlic
- Sweet corn or Feed Corn

If you want to make it sweeter add honey. If you feel like getting your mixture to have a more attractive smell, then use garlic instead.
You can also add color to make your bait more visible, as well as attractants.
