Despite my best efforts over the last several years to enhance my deep water fishing, I’ll admit that I’ll always prefer crashing a crankbait into shallow cover. There are several interesting aspects to this particular crankbait. I have been fishing on large and small bodies of water with a good success rates for a considerable amount of time. It’s not your squarebill, but your traditional flat-sided plug isn’t necessary, either. It’s not. In order to create a unique hybrid, SPRO and John Crews have incorporated various features in each category.

An interesting squat is Fat John 60. It has some of the subtles of a standard flat screw but a standard square screwdriver’s bulk and castability. It has very low depth and is great over a grassy bed or in low water, which rises above rocks, rocks, stumbling blocks, logs, etc.. It runs very low.
