I'm loving my new knot tying tool, its pretty neat .. the versatility is great . I clip mine to my should on my fly vest and it allows quick access to trim my line and tie a leader or what have you . Works great for snelling hooks for catfishing or carp fishing...

Normal nippers, the fishing line is well bitten, the cord is worse but also bite, took them more because of the diamond sharpener for the hooks, and it is not necessary. Delivery month in total parcel.

Being older and having large hands I find it hard to hold small hooks and tackle, while trying to type fishing line to it let alone see the darn holes and lines that need to move. This gadget takes the guesswork out of all that and makes it a breeze to tie hooks, spinners, anything to you line even other lines. Takes a few tries to get tje hang of it, but after that it's a great timesaver and fishermans best friend

This is my third one of these because I keep dropping them in the water lol. These make tying knots a breeze especially when you are using tiny hooks for trout. You simply hold the hook and twist a bunch of times and make a clinch knot. It cuts up to 10 lb line with ease after that it's better to use this just for tying knots and some bigger pliers for bigger line. I have not used it yet for fly fishing but I will later on. Feels well made too which is of course one of the most important aspects.

Definitely my favorite fishing gadget now. Easy as pie to clip on to a belt loop of my jeans or shorts, and the retracter device is perfect balance of good tension and retacting. Havent used the knot tying gizmo on it yet because my hands are still dextrous enough to get 3wt knots fine, but I imagine it works just fine. Mostly just use the clippers and the retracting leash.
